Louis Vuitton’s Agenda PM (now the Small Ring Agenda Cover) is a must have for me. I use it every single day to keep organized. I began using my first Monogram Agenda PM back in 2002 for school, and it transitioned well into my career.

17 years later, I finally had to take it to Louis Vuitton for service as it needed to be reglazed. Unfortunately, they had to send my agenda off for repair, which would take around a month! There was no way I could be without it for that long. Therefore, I decided to look for a new Louis Vuitton agenda. In doing so, I discovered that the Agenda PM had a name change to the Small Ring Agenda Cover. Other than that, not much else changed!

Ultimately, after looking at the Louis Vuitton Small Ring Agenda Covers, I could not resist buying another one in the Monogram canvas, as well as one in the Damier Azur canvas. That way, I could alternate my agenda to minimize wear.

PRESENTATION

The Small Ring Agenda Cover is wrapped in a luxurious dust bag and tucked into a small Louis Vuitton box. In addition, Louis Vuitton always wraps the box in the signature striking blue Louis Vuitton ribbon.

EXTERIOR OF THE LOUIS VUITTON SMALL RING AGENDA COVER

The Louis Vuitton Small Ring Agenda Cover measures 3.9” x 5.5”. The exterior has one continuous piece of durable Louis Vuitton canvas that covers the outside of the agenda. Moreover, the orientation of the canvas is such that the designs on the canvas run perfectly centered down the spine of the agenda.

Also, the agenda has a tab of canvas that includes a press stud closure to keep the agenda securely closed. The Louis Vuitton name is engraved on both the exterior of the stud closure as well as the interior area where it snaps into. In addition, the edges are sewn and covered with glazing to keep the canvas safe and sound.

INTERIOR OF THE SMALL RING AGENDA COVER

The interior of the Louis Vuitton Small Ring Agenda Cover is covered in cross grain leather. It has six tiny brass rings. I mean these things are tiny!

Moving away from the rings, the left side of the Louis Vuitton Small Ring Agenda Cover has three credit card slots and a pocket directly behind the slots. The right side of the agenda also has a pocket and a small pen loop. The date code is located on the inside edge of the pocket. Be prepared, the pen loop does not fit a normal size pen. As such, I went ahead and purchased the Agenda PM pen and pencil when I originally bought my agenda; however, it has become increasingly difficult to find replacement ink and pencil refills from Louis Vuitton. About a year ago, my store finally had some, so I bought around 10 of each. I sure hope they last me for a significant period of time.

INSERTS

I love getting the monthly version so I can look down and see what I have planned for the entire month! The blocks are small, but I am able to write around three appointments per day in one square (Monday through Friday only – the weekend space is smaller) if I write small enough. So far this has worked out well for me. By using the monthly inserts, I am able to keep a calendar for the entire year, dividers, a few sheets of scratch paper, and a Filofax zipper pouch in my agenda. With this, my agenda is not overly stuffed, and snaps closed perfectly. If you write big, write a ton, or have more than four appointments per day, you might want to look into one of the larger agendas.

USE

I predominantly use my Louis Vuitton Small Ring Agenda Cover as an agenda; however, I occasionally use it as a passport holder. A passport fits perfectly, and I can leave a few pieces of scratch paper in there to write down memorable travel experiences. While I have only used it as an agenda or a passport holder, I have read plenty of successful reviews of people using it as a wallet. To do so, all they did was add the Filofax zippered pouch and credit card sleeve to the binder rings and off they went!

WEAR

This thing wears exceptionally well as evidence by 17 years of use before it needed to be reglazed! The sewn seams are strong. The glazing wears overtime so you will need to inspect it occasionally to make sure it does not wear down to the canvas and leave it unprotected. Reminder, if the canvas tears or frays, Louis Vuitton will not repair it. Conversely, the glazing, stud closures, seams, rings, and the interior leather can all be fixed by Louis Vuitton.

Also, the credit card slots do not get stretched out if you do not over stuff them. Thankfully, I have not had any problems with the pockets peeling or getting sticky.

MAINTENANCE

As far as maintenance, I wipe the Louis Vuitton Small Ring Agenda Cover with a damp cloth. For more in depth cleaning I use Apple Brand Leather Cleaner & Conditioner. The Monogram canvas is carefree, but the Damier Azur has proven to be a challenge as far as preventing color transfer. So far, I have been able to remove the transfer with the Apple Brand Leather Cleaner. As far as storage, I store my agenda in the dust bag when not in use.
