One of the best boutique experiences I have ever had was at the Louis Vuitton store in Beverly Hills, California. This was my first time at the Beverly Hills location- I knew none of the sales associates. Let me tell you, they were BUSY! Thankfully, that did not stop the sales associate who rushed to great me. She was so nice and accommodating, showing me multiple purses and discussing my particular needs.
Surprisingly, this location had a purse in stock that I had been lusting after – the Favorite PM in the Monogram Canvas. In addition, this purse was not available at the stores around my home. Moreover, I had been unable to acquire one online.
My sales associate encouraged me to model the purse and place my essential products inside before I purchased it – all in an effort to help me decide if the size was right for me. You see, the purse is on the smaller side (8.7” x 5.1” x 1.6”) and has a magnetic closure, which means you cannot overload it and expect it to stay closed. I thought I might be taking too long in making my decision, but she assured me I should take as long as I needed. In fact, I looked around and all the sales associates were doing the same thing – being patient, kind, and helpful! In a world where the “boutique experience” seems to be fading, this was a refreshing encounter.
I ended up buying the Favorite PM and have been pleased with my purchase. It has been almost 2 years and I have absolutely no complaints. No wrinkling of the flap – no quality issues whatsoever. It is great for travel and is easy for me to access my essentials on the go. Others have complained that the magnetic closure is not very secure; however, I just exercise some caution and watch it closely. Small price to pay for the beauty and convenience it has provided!
Now when I glance down and see my beautiful purse, I am thankful for the time and attention provided to me by the wonderful sales associate.
